2 months with my first ever G-SHOCK, the GM-2110D-4A

Starting my watch shop Time Vibe give a great opportunity to test different watches, which is amazing as I have loved watches ever since I was a little boy.

So far I have never owned a G-SHOCK, but I have always liked the concept of an undestructable watch. Well yes you can destroy a G-SHOCK watch, BUT they will withstand and take a LOT of hard hits before they give up. That is also one thing I will in the future, do some tests how much different G-SHOCKs can take before getting destroyed.

I never was a fan of G-SHOCK, but it changed to me becoming a huge fan

But I was never a huge fan of the resin as the material, after G-SHOCK came out with the metal versions it all changed for me. And now years later I got my first G-SHOCK, the GM-2110D-4A. My initial plan was to wear it for a couple of weeks, get some nice photos and videos and then put the watch up for sale with a small discount as a test or promo watch for the Time Vibe. BUT after having it for about 2 months, I have realized I wear the GM-2110D-4A more then any other watch I have, for example even if I love the Seiko SRPD53 with it’s analog fully mechanical automatic movement (which is another story), I keep wearing the G-SHOCK.

The GM-2110D-4A G-SHOCK is not perfect as some minor details I don’t like about it, BUT it’s still so amazing. The only thing I don’t like about it is the digital screen size, it’s a bit small and in some light conditions a bit difficult to read and what is sometimes a bit frustrating is that the analog hands of the watch block the digital display when the hour hand is between 3 and 6, but this is a design problem for most analog-digital watches, as you have to have the digital display somewhere on the dial and at the same time you have to fit the analog hands somewhere too.

But all in all, the things I don’t like about it are very small and do no major difference, specially when you look at the price that is a little less than 300 eur, you get so much watch for your money.

The only thing about it is that you start wanting the other colors, specially I the one with the green dial, the G-SHOCK GM-2110D-3A, the green looks sooooo good in real life! It might be my next test watch for Time Vibe, but I only say “might”, because it’s really difficult to choose which watch to test and do some promo shots and videos of, as I rather concentrate on just one or two watches at a time.

All in all, I love the GM-2110D-4A, I can pull it off wearing it to any situation whether I’m wearing a suit or just something casual or even doing sports.
