The G-SHOCK DW-5600MNC-7A8 brings something genuinely new to the Origin 5600 Series — a stretch cloth band with a FIDLOCK® magnetic buckle, paired with the squared 5600 case that has anchored the G-SHOCK lineup since 1983. This colourway sets a white case against a light grey cloth strap and crisp neon yellow accents on the dial, buttons and clasp, giving the watch an airy, sporty feel that lifts it clearly out of the all-black archetype the series is best known for.
The headline change is the band. The polyester cloth strap stretches up to 2.7 times its length for a comfortable, glove-like fit, and the FIDLOCK® buckle combines magnets with a mechanical lock — closed and released smoothly with one hand, the same system used on cycling helmets and technical bags. The bezel uses bio-based resin to lower its environmental footprint, while the case retains the full 5600 toughness underneath: shock-resistant construction, 20 bar (200-metre) water resistance and a CR2016 battery rated for approximately five years. The whole watch comes in at 53 g, with a band that adjusts from 145 mm to 215 mm.
The dial keeps things classically 5600 — high-contrast LCD with a 1/100-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, multi-function alarm, hourly time signal and flash alert. The LED Super Illuminator backlight lights the display in white with afterglow, and the full auto-calendar runs through to 2099. Quartz accuracy is rated at ±15 seconds per month, with a 12/24-hour format and a mineral glass front. The case back carries the classic SHOCK RESIST engraving, tying the new band system to the heritage of the line.
